What's New For '22

Despite the struggles of the past couple of years, the bike industry has been booming and we've been working hard to stay on top of it. Here's a peek of what we've been up to.

First up, we're very excited to announce our first clipless pedals, the Pilot and Pilot BA. The Pilot BA is our larger offering shown below in red, and the Pilot in purple. A lot of us here at Chromag run clipless pedals (especially the hardtail riders), so it made sense for us to create a pedal we want to ride on (in?).

The Pilot is the union of Chromag’s extensive flat pedal design experience combined with a proven, dual sided SPD compatible cleat engagement system. With a long, 110mm body, the Pilot’s pins reach beyond the cleat channel of most shoes to provide a secure 4 or 5 point pin contact between shoe and pedal. 

These pedals are designed for riders seeking a large amount of under-foot support and traction, generally needed in rougher terrain. 

Both Pilot models feature the same high-strength chromoly axle system as all Chromag pedals, with a double seal, inner bushing, and outer cartridge bearing.

Next up is the RIZA stem. The RIZA builds off the success of both the Ranger and BZA models, and combines them into one stem to rule them all.

Key features include the wide clamping area, 1 piece faceplate, a faded edge on the bar contact to avoid stress hotspots, CNC machined in Canada and lastly we bumped up all the bolts to M6.

Our best selling saddles, the Lynx DT and Overture have a new look, as well as a brand new Overture LTD.

The Overture is the clear choice as a DJ seat, but in recent years it's made strong inroads into the DH market. It certainly did well at Rampage with Brandon and Kurt taking 1st and 2nd place respectively. 

The Overture LTD has had the biggest overhaul with it's new quilted texture. It's been very well received so far by staff, athletes and customers alike.  

The Sequence chainring has had some machining adjustments to make it lighter and it's now 12 speed compatible! 

Our Bassix post is a no-nonsense, clean and simple post option for those not running a dropper, which these days is mainly your DJ, DH or gravel crew. The post is a reliable 2 bolt design that's been 3D forged and sandblasted for a long lasting and durable finish.

Lastly the ever-popular Rift has had a few minor tweaks and adjustments and is now CE certified.
